Weiner Iterns wantedThe Daily News posted this exclusive about mayoral hopeful Anthony Weiner casting his campaign interns as “regular New Yorkers'” who support him.

But they don’t mention they work for him.

The ad is one of the first for Weiner that features New Yorkers speaking on his behalf. Previous ads, especially since his campaign imploded amid new sexting revelations, have largely featured only the candidate.

Weiner, who briefly topped the polls in the mayor’s race,  has been languishing in fourth place in recent polls.

Weiner spokeswoman Barbara Morgan said of the ad, “They are all real live supporters who have chosen Anthony Weiner.”

She pointed out that none of the people in the ad were ever paid by Weiner.

(CNN) – Anthony Weiner’s top opponents for New York City’s Democratic mayoral race each got a chance to address the former congressman in a major televised debate Tuesday night, but City Council Speaker Christine Quinn took more than one shot at the flagging candidate as the two engaged in heated exchanges throughout the night.

Two minutes deep into the five-candidate showdown, Weiner was already acknowledging and apologizing for his sexting scandal, but he urged voters to move beyond his “personal failings” and focus on the more substantive issues in the race.

(CNN) — Anthony Weiner said Monday he believes his sexting scandals have damaged his wife’s career and seemingly dropped a hint about Hillary Clinton’s potential 2016 presidential plans.

In a wide-ranging interview with BuzzFeed’s Editor-in-Chief Ben Smith that was livestreamed exclusively on the “CNN BuzzFeed” channel on YouTube, Weiner also revealed that he’s still in therapy but did not give further details on the frequency of his sessions.

Piers Morgan

On the heels of an exchange that was at times honest, at times combative, at times odd, but fascinating throughout, on Monday evening Ben Smith joined “Piers Morgan Live” with impressions from his own interview with Anthony Weiner.

Having sat down live with the mayoral candidate in the initial New York installment of “BuzzFeed Brews,” a widely successful interview series that – until this evening – had been conducted entirely in Washington, D.C., Smith obtained a solid good feel for Weiner’s current state of mind, politically and otherwise:

“He sure didn’t seem happy to be there, he didn’t feel like he was out there trying to make people like him, which is the name of the game,” noted Smith, Editor-in-Chief of “BuzzFeed.” “The primary is on September 10th. If he was going to drop out, he probably would have dropped out already. His best bet of getting in there…

(CNN) — Anthony Weiner’s run for New York City mayor has been one of the most watched — and most controversial — campaigns in the country. Weiner passed on a beer, but he sat for a live question-and answer session hosted by BuzzFeed Editor-in-Chief Ben Smith in a “BuzzFeed Brews” event that was livestreamed exclusively on the “CNN BuzzFeed” channel on YouTube.

In the wide-ranging interview, Weiner talked about the effect his sexting scandal had on his wife’s career and weighed in on his therapy sessions. He also dropped a hint about Hillary Clinton’s plans for 2016.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Some flyers purportedly seeking interns for Anthony Weiner’s mayoral campaign allegedly have been appearing around Manhattan lately, but they’re not really connected to the campaign at all.

The flyers read, “Interns Wanted for the Anthony Weiner Mayoral Campaign,” and feature a picture of Weiner speaking in front of his campaign logo and a photo of five young adults representing college interns.

The flyer says in boldface letters that “slutbags,” “snitches” and “cops” need not apply. It also says “no cameras,” in the same font, but those words are struck out in pen and replaced with a hand-written advisory that there will be “some cameras.”

“For more information, report to the loading area behind the docks at sundown and make sure you are not followed,” the flyer says.

It advises anyone interested to “pull one of our Weiners,” and grab a tab at the bottom marked “Weiner”…
